Ryan Simsich (He/Him)

Senior UX Designer & Co-Owner

I grew up in a very creative household, with an architect father and fashion designer mother. Radical patterns contrasted against straight hand- drafted lines helped to shape my own unique design style.

During my time studying at the Art Institute of Los Angeles, I learned to harness my drive for perfectionism and amplify my passion to create designs that go way outside the lines. As a Graphic Artist for 15 years, my innate artistic ability, intense drive, and unique worldview have driven me to develop designs that get results and are visually pleasing.

I’ve taken on a wide variety of freelance clients through the years, working on everything from logos to website designs. My philosophy is that any great idea first starts by listening and understanding what clients need, and then bringing them fresh ideas while maintaining their brand integrity. I prioritize keeping abreast of new technologies and trends in design to help clients stay ahead of the curve.

Personal Highlights

What I love about Portland – Its proximity to nature. I love that I can work a full day and still manage to go for a swim in the Columbia River before the day is over.

My favorite place ever traveled – Cycling down the California coast. Although I had traveled up and down it multiple times, doing it on a bicycle gave me a whole new perspective.

Hobbies – Hiking, cycling, swimming and most recently I’ve been remodeling my house. (I pretty much tear something down every weekend, and rebuild it the next).

Weirdest thing I’ve ever eaten – Anything with mayonnaise. That is about as crazy as I am willing to get with my palate.
